Work started in the summer of 2021 on the two case studies. UCC in partnership with Mayo County Council and the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust have been engaged with studies focusing on the use of drone technology for seaweed resource assessment and for digital heritage protection, preservation and promotion. The outputs of these activities will feed into a project report featuring guidance for local authorities on the use of drone technology for supporting the Sustainable Development Goals at the coast. Other outputs include academic journal publications and supplementary video materials are all coming soon.
